Life lately has been moving at lightning speed and it’s easy to lose ourselves in the process of the flow with epic energy. MORE opportunities often mean MORE things to do and more people that want your attention. ⁣You can be pulled in a million directions at once. Trying to balance work, relationships, personal growth, family and having a social life can be overwhelming (maybe even non-existent in some categories). We can get sucked into feeling like we have to do it all which leads to burnout, adrenal fatigue, unhappy people, unbalanced emotions and so much stress. STRESS!!! It’s impossible to do it all! It’s vital to make goals and make conscious decisions and decide what things in your life are truly worth your VALUABLE energy. ⠀⠀ The concept of “overgiving,” whether’s it’s to a job, a partner, or our families can build resentment within us, which can cause us…

My life can be chaos. I mean full out chaos in this ever-changing, last second craziness, warp speed work of entrepreneurship and business ownership in a company that is blowing all records month over month and year over year. Being a small business owner of Kelly’s Bake Shoppe with my daughter Erinn Weatherbie, we have many challenges. With a staff of 32, and a company with rapid growth over the past 6 years, it is a wild ride (an understatement). Most importantly, for me, is to create the time to de-load my mind and creative ideas or else I lose my balance and disconnect from my ‘self’.  My sacrifice is my creativity and my ability to stay in that role of a strong leader and a visionary. I feel my creativity gets banished with the overwhelm and my passion turns into craziness.  I know many of you can relate and this is not the place where any of us want to…

So much of our cultural conditioning pulls us out of the present moment, striving for an impossible ideal in the unknown future. We are lost in the (make believe) future and hope to find what we currently ‘lack’, or be happy when we finally look different physically or be joyful….if we finally achieve ‘this or that’. But that’s all wrong(!) ….and this assumes that the present is inherently ‘lacking’. Practicing Gratitude for our ‘present moment gifts’ changes everything and allows us to see all of our abundance.

Meditation In A Busy World: Finding Your Centre Amid The Chaos Meditation has been around for centuries, but lately it has been experiencing a revival as more and more people are seeing how relevant this ancient Buddhist practice is with today’s modern lifestyles. Studies have proven the many benefits of meditation: It gives you clarity, it relieves stress and anxiety, it feeds your creativity, it drives you toward your goals, it has the capacity to heal your pain – physical, emotional, real or imagined. Some people use it to seek solutions for their specific problems while others need it to make life easier and lighter in general. I find that meditation is perfectly aligned with our life principles on making more responsible, sustainable decisions. Yes, I see the direct connection between food and meditation! Our decision to go vegan is rooted in our commitment to our health and to caring…
