Happy Christmas and Merry New Year!
First of all, I’d like to share this very special love note to all of our staff that works with us at Lettuce Love Café and Kelly’s Bake Shoppe. There are now 34 of you. xo
Sometimes right our of nowhere we get zapped into a grateful moment and it propels us into a very deep reality of realizing how VERY blessed we are and puts us into a state of gratitude or bliss and profound happiness. That’s how I’ve been feeling every day lately… right to my very core of heart-warming overwhelm of love, devotion and gratitude.
It’s not like I didn’t realize it already. For me it was like falling deeper in love with all of our staff and this warmth came radiating out of me. I was looking at all of you and saying to myself, “all these lovely souls set their alarm clocks, run their kids to school, juggle finances, write exams, have deadlines, make dinners & breakfasts, pay their hydro, rent or mortgages and gas bills, cell phones and buy clothes and cars too. They research recipes at home, answer emails, have sad times and break up with partners, deal with family issues like sicknesses and deaths of loved ones and still come in with smiles on their faces.
We have all built a very strong foundation with ALL of you. You have all contributed to where we all are today. Thank you so much.
What I find for me, as my true measure, are the tears that come up from nowhere. With unleashed love and compassion, I can honestly say that I am in awe of our working warriors that really love doing what they do with us. I want you to please know how much we (Ken and I and Erinn and Mike) care about you each and every one of you.
Erinn and Mike are so incredible too, to elevate all of our experiences and to be able to convey exactly our passion and feelings as a family. We have these aligned values, and a crazy passion for this world and to us you aren’t simply employees that come in and work and get a paycheque from us on a bi-weekly basis. We know you all have hearts and personal desires and heartaches and complications, happy times and moments when things hurt. We know it because we experience all this stuff ourselves every day too.
Having deep compassion for you all has elevated our businesses in more ways than we can imagine. I wear my heart on my sleeve and my hugs heal and connect me to you and everyone else – healing hugs are in my arms and my soul. For many of you that will come to know me will find there aren’t too many surprises from within my heart and what you see is really exactly who I am without any sugar-coating (Ken gets to see this first-hand).
We’ve all built these businesses. Each one of us have, and we can all share in the pride of creating something meaningful for the planet and where we are today: #1 and #2 on Tripadvisor…. “Yup, WE DID IT!!” We all get to be proud and say, “THIS is what I get to do every day. I get to be a part of the change and be a leader in this world.”
We all can make a difference and are so thrilled all of you are with us on this journey.
To our customers!! You rock! Thank you so much for “getting it” and realizing you are what you eat. We are so thrilled to be able to provide you with:
1. ….Deliciously sweet (Kelly’s Bake Shoppe) and incredibly savoury (Lettuce Love Cafe) food for you, whenever you crave it, need it and want it.

3. …Smiles and kindness and know we care genuinely about your experience with us and too, when you walk out that door. It’s who we are and we are passionate about making it right every time so you are simply ‘touched’ by us in some profound way.
Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Festivus and even, Bah Humbug,…..whatever is your thing. Just BE WELL and enjoy this season of love. We know we will be.
See you all very very soon…With love from our Lettuce Love and Kelly’s Bake Shoppe family to all of yours.

Your Christmas message made me cry with happy tears, thank you. I don’t come too often to Kelly’s Bake Shoppe
because now live in Hamilton for 9 years, but lived in Burlington over 35 years.
Love your gluten free cupcakes, and treat ourselves sometimes.
Have yet to try LettuceLove Cafe, in the new Year.
Thank you so much, yes, your staff is always friendly, love popping in. Only problem is the parking.
Hugs Rene
Love this Kelly . Kelly’s and LLC really are places where Love Bombs are dropped daily . Hugs ,tears and laughter are daily events. Thank you ,Erinn, Mike and Ken for your vision and the incredible hard work . It is a gift to come to work at a place where compassion and feelings are not pushed aside but incorporated in the fast paced business of serving our community the best food and experience possible . I have heard our staff say they leave work with more energy than when they started their shift . That says tons . Merry Christmas !!
