This is my daily addiction right now, Chocolate Hemp Milk.
I find I kind of go in spurts with what my body craves and desires and I go with it, as it usually never steers me wrong. This superfood milk is simple to make and put it in my “screw-top” mason jar and take it along in my laptop bag when leave for the day. It’s perfect to sip on all morning.
I add maca to balance my hormones and keep them in check and to keep my energy balanced. I also add glutamine too, to heal and support my digestive tract and boost my immune system (you can find glutamine at your local health food store and you use about 1 teaspoon in your smoothie). For vanilla hemp milk just omit the cacao powder and increase the vanilla . (Serve hot or cold)
Hemp seeds are a complete protein which means they contain all of the essential amino acids and essential fatty acids to build a perfect protein molecule in our human body and allow our bodies to carry on living optimally and vitally. There isn’t another plant on the planet that can do that.
Here’s is the super easy recipe I use every day:
Cacao Hemp Milk Recipe
16 ounces (2 cups) fresh spring (filtered) water
6 tablespoons organic hemp seeds
2 tablespoons raw cacao powder
1 teaspoon organic pure vanilla flavouring
2 tablespoons maple syrup
1 teaspoon maca
1 teaspoon Glutamine
pinch salt
Blend in a high speed blender for 2 minutes until smooth (hemp seeds don’t need to be soaked like nuts do). If you would like to drink this warm, pour it into a pot and gently warm – do not boil (that will save all the nutrition in it) and pour into a mug and enjoy.

Isn’t Maca known as the Peruvian Viagra for men and women?
🙂 only YOU would consider that.
Love you and we cannot wait for your cookbook to come out. Awesome!
Looks like a delicious recipe – thanks so much for posting this, Kelly!! I very much enjoy your blog!
Actually hemp isn’t the only complete plant protein on the planet. There are more including Quinoa and soy.
Great post.
