Yep, it has, it does and it will continue to be a force to reckon with (forever). This baby was birthed in 2012 and has turned into something more than I could ever have imagined it being. The heart centre is big, I mean massive….like gigantically enormous, limitless and is growing larger and larger every day.
The depth of our connection to all of you leaves me speechless, at times, to be honest. Dumbfounded with utter joy. You may even find me with tears running down my cheeks or hiding in a closet upstairs because my heart has exploded with so much fucking joy.
I don’t get it.
I don’t understand NOT having passion.
I don’t know how to be in low gear.
I don’t understand being normal.
I don’t get this drive in me to push the planet uphill with such tenacity, towards kindness, towards love, towards all-inclusivity, towards waking the F#%*$ up….like there is some other path to be on? (Duh?!)
Some call Erinn and I radical.
I couldn’t care a less.
It’s our birthday and we get to do what we want.

Kelly I am a huge fan. I have your first cookbook and cannot wait for book number two; although I never want to wish time away. Please help; I can only find red palm shortening. Where do you source yours for baking? I am assuming it is not red.

I would suggest you use Earth Balance. Find the Veggie Buttery sticks (vegan shortening) in the refrigerated section of the grocery stores.
We source our palm from ethical and sustainable source and from Palm farms. It is a very special source and not available to the consumer. We will update the next cookbook.

Thank you for responding. I tried the vanilla cupcakes over the holidays with a blend of red palm and coconut shortening. It was Nutiva organic superfood shortening and it worked. I am so excited for the next cookbook!! When is it coming???? Happy New Year!
I’m so happy it worked! Yay! The next book is (we hope) Spring 2020. Fingers crossed. In the meantime, we will be doing more recipes and fun stuff online.
