A Valentine’s Day Tribute to the Man Behind Me

With deep love and affection, I can honestly say that I would not be half the woman I dreamt I could have been without my Ken and his deep belief in me. His sensitivity, loyalty, love and genuine thoughtfulness and generosity are so rare in today’s world. I want to thank him for without him, I know I would not have found the drive and deep desire to go after my dreams and follow my passion.

He is my #1 cheerleader!

Ken created and orchestrated the space for Kelly’s Bake Shoppe from all of my dreams that were stored in my mind and everything I ever dreamed as a child making mud pies, came true for Erinn and I because of him. He created this childhood dream box (a “Once Upon a Time…” magical space) that customers can walk into and be transported and transposed into their own fairytale childhood and be tantalized with deliciously healthy, gluten-free and vegan treats. And now, with Lettuce Love Cafe too, I get to share my love of food even more with the world.

The respect and adoration I have for him is immeasurable and for everything he and I have gone through for the past seven years, well, let’s just say we have so much to celebrate. The people that know us personally are in awe of our strong and loving partnership and tenacity and undeniable strength to withstand the perils that can sometimes come from earlier relationships and marriages that won’t go away kindly and in a loving way. It saddens me immensely at times, that Ken has to deal with this but funny enough, it brings us closer and stronger together.

Ken is an angel. He is the kindest soul I could have ever been blessed with from the universe and I’m so utterly proud to be able to call him my husband and absolute BEST friend. I love him and I really ‘like’ him so much and am so grateful for his inherent gifts and uniquely incredible talents that he chooses to share with me.
